Leadership Roles
Farmers Union youth programs focus on teaching and encouraging youth to follow through with the leadership and cooperative skills, principles and values they have learned in their day classes, summer camps and award trips.
Farmers Union youth programs do not end after the senior youth program. Youth are challenged to participate in more active leadership roles, such as summer staff positions and serving as Farmers Union representatives in county and state activities.
Continuation of these practices assists our outh in their adult lives as they gain leadership positions in our ever-changing world. |

Collegiate
Farmers Union youth attending universities in the Fargo-Moorhead, Minot, Bismarck, Jamestown and Valley City areas have formed Farmers Union collegiate chapters.
"Over the years we have seen a gap in the involvement of our members between the ages of 18 and 30," says Amber Hill, NDFU member education coordinator.
"We have a very strong youth program, with talented, enthusiastic and dedicated young people. These college-based groups will give those young adults the opportunity to stay connected and participate in issues they feel are important."
North Dakota Farmers Union is working with these groups to put together a few activities designed just for, well … fun.
Farmers Union youth already on campus are welcome to become involved in the collegiate chapter.
